Tessa's Recipe Rundown...

Taste: Oh the sweet combination of chocolate, coconut, and Kahlúa coffee and rum liqueur is show-stopping. It’s perfectly refreshing, a little tropical, and my version of summer in a glass. Texture: Thick, luscious, and frosty. The whipped cream and toasted coconut on top just takes everything to a whole new level. Ease: 10 minutes and you’re on your way to a fabulous cocktail worthy of any summer get-together. Appearance: How adorable are these? I just LOVE how pretty the toasted coconut is on top. Pros: Easy and delicious summer twist on classic flavors. Cons: None!! Would I make this again? Oh yes.

#ad @Kahlua Coconut Frozen Hot Chocolate – perfect summer cocktail! #KahluaSummer

I’m so excited because I’ve got an ultra tasty cocktail recipe to share with you today! These Kahlua Coconut Frozen Hot Chocolate cocktails are the perfect summery twist on hot chocolate. They’re frosty, they’re a little tropical, and they’ve got that perfect touch of Kahlúa which makes them worthy of any summer get together. How can you say no to something with whipped cream and toasted coconut on top?

When Kahlúa asked me to create a cocktail as a part of their Summer Shake-Up campaign, I immediately knew I had to make something frozen. I don’t know about you, but living in Arizona means no summer party is complete without a frozen drink to keep cool. I hope you make this recipe the next time you entertain this season! Let me know how you’ll be shaking things up this season, I’d love to get some more inspiration.

Usually during the Phoenix summer I stay indoors away from the sweltering heat. It can get above 110°F here, which means summer isn’t always my favorite time of year. Kahlúa has motivated me to look at summer with a fresh perspective and do things differently this year. This summer I want to shake things up a little and actually get outside! Whether that means sipping a frozen cocktail, staying in the pool, waiting until the sun sets, or taking a drive up North to the cooler parts of the state, I’m going to embrace the desert summer. Almost anything can be fun if you add good friends, good food, and good drinks to the mix. It can’t hurt to add a little chocolate to the mix, too! Between today’s recipe and these Kahlúa Mudslides, I’ve got any chocolate lovers out there covered.
