October 2022 Baking Challenge
Last month for the September Baking Challenge, we made Apple Crisp! Thanks so much to everyone who joined in. We loved seeing all your delicious Crisps!
Once winners are randomly drawn and then personally confirmed, they’ll be announced on the blog and on social media, as always. Each winner has 48 hours to respond before we re-pick a winner, so it sometimes can take a few days to announce.
I am super excited to share OCTOBER’S Baking Challenge recipe pick!
This month, we’ll be making…
JACK-O’-LANTERN CHOCOLATE SUGAR COOKIES!
This recipe features my easy sugar chocolate cut out cookies with homemade cream cheese frosting. Sooo delicious, and just the absolute cutest Halloween dessert! Plus, you can totally customize the shape of the cookie or the color of the frosting for your version of perfect Halloween cookies.
I’ve laid out ALL my baking tips for you in the pink tip box on the recipe page + on the challenge landing page.

Hello! I am having trouble submitting my entry for the challenge. I’ve been trying to click “submit your entry” and it won’t do anything. Any ideas? Thanks for all your help!
Hi Elizabeth! I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues entering this month’s challenge. Have you tried using a different browser to see if that helps, or clearing your cache? Is you popup blocker maybe on? The entry widget might not be able to popup if you have a popup blocker turned on. Alternatively, you could try entering from an Incognito window. If those fixes don’t work, if you could actually contact Gleam, who is our baking challenge platform, and they’ll be able to troubleshoot further on their end. Here is the link to contact them. They’re quick to respond and very helpful! Good luck!! 🙂
Thank you! I got it to work! You’re the best! Thank you so much for your patience!
Hello! I have requested the pumpkin template a few times but the email isn’t coming. Can it be sent to me?
Hi Cassie! I took a look in our system, and it appears that you signed up for that template a year ago. Our system is a little wonky and won’t let you request it with the same email address twice. Not to worry – I will be more than happy to email the direct link to you! Happy baking 🙂
