The best place to ask is right in the comment section of the specific recipe post. You’ll usually get a quicker response—and your question (and its answer!) can help other bakers, too. Be sure to check the existing comments first—your answer might already be there!

Wondering about substitutions?
Some recipes can handle simple swaps (like full-fat yogurt for sour cream), but most baking ingredients are less flexible. Baking is a science, and each ingredient plays an important role—sugar, for example, does more than just sweeten. If we’ve tested a substitution, it’ll be noted in the blog post or recipe card. If not, it likely hasn’t been tested—and the results may vary. For that reason, we can’t offer personalized advice for substitutions or dietary modifications.
