Have a question about a recipe?
The best place to ask is in the comments section on that recipe. You’ll usually get a faster answer, and your question may help other bakers, too. Before you ask, use our comment search bar first (located just above the comments). Your question may have already been answered.

Have a question about a substitution?
Some recipes allow simple swaps (like full-fat yogurt for sour cream), but most baking ingredients are not easy to swap. Baking is a science, and every ingredient plays an important role. For example, sugar does more than make baked goods sweet.

If I’ve tested a substitution, you’ll find it in the blog post or recipe card. If I haven’t tested it, I can’t promise it will work. For that reason, I can’t give advice about untested substitutions or changes for special diets.

Need to change the pan size?
If I’ve tested a recipe in multiple pan sizes, you’ll find those options in the blog post or recipe card. If a pan size isn’t listed, it hasn’t been tested.

Pan size, depth, and material can all change how a recipe bakes. Because of this, I can’t give custom pan size or baking time advice for sizes I haven’t tested.
