Taste: The beer flavor is subtle yet when paired with garlic and cheese it is heaven on your tongue. Texture: Each bite is crunchy on the bottom, soft inside, and melting with cheese throughout. Ease: Easy yet super impressive. Appearance: Just look at that melting and spotted cheese! Deeeeelish. Pros: Would be perfect for serving on game day because these breadsticks are easy and absolutely scrumptious. Cons: A little indulgent… Would I make this again? Today I bring you a recipe made with bread, slathered in garlic butter, and topped with two kinds of cheese. Sorry… and you’re welcome. These crazy delicious Cheesy Garlic Beer Breadsticks would be perfect for any Super Bowl snack table or if you’re like me and have no interest in football, this recipe is perfect for just any old day. The beer pizza dough is super simple and when baked on a pizza stone you get that lovely exterior crispness that makes your mouth dance. If you don’t have a pizza stone, you should probably buy one, but if you can’t you can use any baking sheet that will accommodate a 12-inch dough circle.

Cheesy Garlic Beer Breadsticks
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon instant or rapid rise yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3/4 cup room-temperature beer
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- Marinara sauce, for serving
Instructions
- In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a dough hook mix the flour, yeast, baking powder, salt, olive oil, and beer until well combined. Knead with dough hook until the dough is soft and smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Place a pizza stone in the bottom rack of the oven and preheat to 450°F.
- In a small bowl combine the butter and garlic with a fork. On a large sheet of parchment paper, stretch and roll the dough into a 12-inch circle, taking 5-minute breaks between stretching if the dough is springing back. Spread the butter mixture evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with the cheeses.
- Use the parchment paper to slide the dough onto the pizza stone. Bake for 9 to 10 minutes, or until bubbling and golden brown. Let cool for 1 to 2 minutes before slicing into breadsticks. Serve hot with marinara sauce.
oh, love these!!!
Those look awesome! Can you use a regular cookie sheet oiled if you don’t have a pizza stone?
You can use a regular cookie sheet – I would roll the dough out onto a sheet of parchment paper then slide the dough on the parchment onto the cookie sheet and bake (you may need to add a few minutes of cooking time since they won’t be cooking on a hot stone). Don’t worry about oiling the cookie sheet since you’re using parchment. Hope that helps!
I have no interest in football either, but I’m definitley interested in these breadsticks. Cheesy AND garlicky, plus the twist on beer bread? I’m so in! They look incredible!
Oh yes! These sound SO good. I love anything combining bread and beer…and cheese! 🙂
THESE! Will be in my house soon:)
So simple, yet so tasty! I love cooking with beer, so I’m totally gonna bookmark this recipe and give it a try!
My family would definitely gobble these up! I swear my kids would eat their weight in breadsticks, if I’d let them. 🙂
So yummy! I’m anxiously awaiting next week when I can whip up a batch of these!
Oh my gosh! These are to die for!
Love it! Perfect for game day!
Yum, yum and yum!! I am definitely making these for my husband soon – he thanks you in advance for this one 🙂
This looks awesome! I’m guessing these wouldn’t last very long if I made it, but since the baking time is only 9-10 minutes, a double batch wouldn’t take too long to make!
