After all that corned beef and cabbage, there’s one thing everyone wants—and it’s not more green beer (well, maybe it’s that, too). I compiled a list of my favorite St. Patrick’s Day desserts to help you find the perfect one for the occasion.

Whether you’re hosting your own St. Patrick’s Day party, going to a friend’s Guinness-filled gathering, or enjoying a potluck at work, I’ve got you covered. This list has a little bit of everything, from booze-forward and centerpiece-worthy, to easily snackable and totally kid-friendly.

There’s something for everyone on this fun list, so grab your green food coloring, and let’s get to it!

15+ St. Patrick’s Day Dessert Recipes

Cake & Cupcake Recipes

Guinness Chocolate Cake with Irish Buttercream

Even if you’re not a beer fan generally, this Guinness Chocolate Cake with Irish Buttercream is incredible! Guinness brings a deep, roasted, slightly coffee-like taste that pairs perfectly with that rich chocolate flavor, and when paired with the Irish Cream buttercream, it’s a match made in Irish Heaven.

Mint Chocolate Cupcakes

It doesn’t have to be green to be a great St. Patrick’s Day dessert – but it sure doesn’t hurt! Chocolate and mint are a favorite flavor combo of mine. These Mint Chocolate Cupcakes are ultra moist, with a perfectly minty buttercream frosting – and they’re so easy to make. These are the ultimate kid or work-friendly St. Patrick’s Day dessert.

Funfetti Sheet Cake

Ready in just 40 minutes, this Funfetti Sheet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting is the perfect simple, crowd-pleasing cake. Stick with the classic rainbow sprinkles (rainbow still counts for St. Patrick’s Day, right!?) or switch to green jimmies inside the cake and shamrock sprinkles on top for a super festive and downright adorable cake!

Red Velvet Cake (but make it green!)

Who says Red Velvet Cake MUST be red!? Try my crazy moist, tender, delicious red velvet cake, and switch the red food coloring for green gel coloring! This Green Velvet Cake may not be a super vibrant green (thanks to the cocoa powder in the recipe), but it will still be super cute and delicious! Or try the same trick with my Red Velvet Cupcakes for a quicker party dessert. Get the Red Velvet Cake recipe here or get the Red Velvet Cupcake recipe here.

Easy Chocolate Sheet Cake

My Easy Chocolate Sheet Cake with simple fudge frosting takes just minutes to prepare and doesn’t even require an electric mixer – so you’ll be ready for your party in no time! Top with these ridiculously cute St. Paddy’s sprinkles for the cutest St. Patrick’s Day dessert ever.

Soft & Chewy Sugar Cookies

These Soft & Chewy Sugar Cookies are my go-to recipe for good reason: they’re perfectly tender and soft with just the right amount of chewiness. Plus, they’re super quick and easy to make! Give these cookies a delicious St. Patrick’s Day twist by incorporating 1/4 to 1/2 cup festive sprinkles into the dough!

Homemade Oreo Cookies

My crunchy Homemade Oreo Cookies are easy to make and can be customized with your favorite flavored filling (double-stuf’d if you prefer!). Make your own peppermint filling (recipe just above the recipe) or simply use a little green food coloring to tint your classic vanilla filling!

St. Paddy’s Brownies & Blondies

rainbow chip-topped Cosmic Brownies or classic blondies are both great St. Paddy's dessert recipes.

Chewy Brownies

My crowd-pleasing Chewy Brownies recipe is always a hit – but top with my Best Buttercream Frosting (adding 1/2 a teaspoon of peppermint extract + a few drops of green food coloring), and you have yourself a BIG St. Paddy’s party hit! If mint isn’t your style, you could skip some or all of the chocolate chips in the recipe and use green M&Ms instead.

Cosmic Brownies

Ultra-rich and fudgy, this copycat recipe for Cosmic Brownies is just like the kind you buy at the store but SO much better, with no preservatives! Stick with the classic rainbow chips on top, or switch it up and use cute St. Patrick’s sprinkles instead.

Blondies Recipe

If chocolate isn’t your jam, try the butterscotch cousin to the classic brownie. Rich and super fudgy, these Blondies are full of brown sugar deliciousness, and you can use any mix-ins you like. Try green M&Ms or opt for rainbow M&Ms – either way, your party guests will go crazy for these!

Great for serving a crowd!

Okay, I know Tiramisu is an Italian classic, but hear me out: switch out the Kahlua in the recipe for Bailey’s Irish Cream (or Irish whiskey) for a fun, utterly delicious Irish twist on this decadent dessert. You could even add a dusting of green edible luster dust to the top for maximum St. Paddy’s vibes.
